GRRRL ZINE FAIR is a not for profit organization that creates inclusive DIY events, Zine fairs, gigs and workshops. We call our events 'Punk Publishing Parties' and sometimes there are panels and talks too. We've also made our first zine 'Grrrl In Print', a printed version of our fairs with contributions from bands, collective, artists, managers and zines from the event; sell on behalf of others as a distro and have a Grrrl Zine Library which can be bought to events or visited at our new studio.

Our events have been growing in size, ambition and audience; with past events covered by Dazed and Confused, Crack Magazine and London In Stereo, among various blogs and print press. Past events have included artist run workshops including self-care craft, writing classes, a Nail Art Bar, zine making classes, drum worksing shops and Riso Printing workshops.

We’ve had members of STRIKE Magazine come to talk about printing your own radical materials and a variety of prominent speakers in the DIY ‘Scene’ such as musicians and Zine editors discussing the commodification of feminism and the practicalities of DIY culture today.

Previous bookings include a variety of female DJ’s as well as the female DJ collective SIREN, JOEY FOURR, Bruising, The Ethical Debating Society, Actual Crimes, NOT SORRY, Teenage Caveman, Sammi Ingamells, Gaptooth, Alpha Maid and ¡Ay, Carmela!, Porridge Radio, DIANA (also members of Dreamwife), /Please/, Charmpit, Garden Centre, Lilith Ai, Peach Club, JUNK and TEAR.

GRRRL is currently run by Lu Williams, an artist and arts award advisor, you can book her to run a zine workshop at your event or school HERE or find out more at luwilliams.com and @luwilliamsdotcom on Instagram.
