Book shelves full of colourful publications behind a large table, surrounded by chairs.

Welcome to the Grrrl Zine Library Open Day! Join us at The Old Waterworks to explore our collection of 900 feminist zines.

The Grrrl Zine Library is

✔️ Catalogued

✔️ Organised

✔️ Ready for visitors

We’re excited to welcome guests to the Grrrl Zine Library revamp for monthly open days. We welcome students, researchers, activists, artists, and those who want a nosey to discover our collection of over 900 feminist zines from early 80s fanzines right through to zines published this year.

Let us know you’re coming! BOOK HERE VIA EVENTBRITE

You’ll be able to browse the collection in your own time, with Grrrl founder Lu Williams on hand to help locate publications. We’ll also have our shiny new Library Portal to help you browse what we have in the collection by author, date and theme. Links to the portal will be sent before your scheduled date in case you’d like to request any of the more delicate and rare zines kept in the archive.

The £2 is a reservation fee and can either be refunded once you join us at the library, or donated towards continuing library upkeep. If you’re unable to join on the day and cannot let us know two days in advance so that we can offer your place to someone else, the fee will be kept as a donation to the library, to support ongoing cataloguing as we continue to receive new zines. If you let us know in advance, the reservation fee will be refunded, no questions asked.
